Sometimes, the 3D graphics enhancement should be turned off though - on 2D games (ed Street fighter alpha 3) cracks in the graphics appear. This is an error in Bleem's rendering system... I hope it gets fixed!! Bleem has been fairly stable in my experience, only crashing at very rare occasions. It plays games that aren't listed on the supported list usually, so...more

Premium Review Bleem!: Surprisingly good (416 words)
by - written on 01/10/00 (Very useful, 91 readings)
Rating:

I was wondering for a while how good this Playstation emulator actually is and I'm happy to say that the results can be very impressive indeed. The idea of this product is that you can play Playstation games on your PC. Great idea right? Now there are many legal issues surrounding Bleem! at the moment but let's not worry about that for now. Bleem! works by decoding the information on a psx disc in a way so that your PC can understand it. Let's leave it at that. Bleem! doesn't work with all games but the main ones will work. You can check the official website to see which games work and which ones don't. You may find that some games which ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Bleem....what sorta name is that!! (232 words)

Bleem is a playstation emulator that would be legal, if it protected against pirated playstation CDS.....it doesnt! Aside from this, there are some real advantages to playing Bleem instead of your playstation. if you have a high powered graphics card and processor, games actually look better on your PC. For example, Resident Evil 3 looked amazing on my PC - the graphics were sharp and anti-aliased, whilst on the playstation they looked blocky and well...pitiful! There is a good control configuration, and a lot of options to keep advanced users happy! Premium Review Bleem!: The best emulator out there!!! (88 words)
by - written on 25/06/00 (Useful, 108 readings)
Rating:

Bleem is the best emulator out at the moment and is 100% legal because you have to use the real playstation CD's to use it all. Bleem! makes the playstation games look soo much better on your PC than they will ever look on the PSX. Bleem! is also cheaper than a playstation at $30 while a real playstation would cost $99. Although bleem is good you will need at least a 200MMX and a voodoo 2 to get it working, and not all psx games work on it! ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review By FAR the best Playstation emulator on the market! (418 words)

When I heard of an emulator for the PC that ran Playstation games, I thought 'nah, it can't be done.' I was wrong. I searched for hours to find one of these out there, only to stumble across a screwy one that I can't remember. The early versions didn't include any video footage, or 3D graphics, so they were rather pointless, unless you're really up for beta testing. Then I got word of a NEW emulator in production, called Bleem! 'Visit their website and find out, I was told. So I did. Every week I'd go online to find out when it was gonna be released, only to find out that there were ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Bleem!: Go on my son (120 words)
by - written on 07/07/00 (Useful, 23 readings)
Rating:

Oh this is superb. Simply exquisite. The graphics output is so much better than the playstation that your jaw will hit the floor. The speed will probably make to break a sweat as well as it can be much faster thqan a playstion. Sound lacks a little of the oomph though, possible sorted by speaker better than my Cambridge soundworks ones. All of the above is assuming you can get it to run. DVD systems and CDR systems will cause problems, most of which people claim on the dicsussion board to be able to fix. So if you fancy gambling $30 to get it working them knock yourself out, you're in for a treat! ...  Read the complete review
