I have been programming in Java for a while now, and I have gotten used to the command prompt method to compile each and every one of my Java modules. But after a while, I found it quite labourious to use the command screen to compile my Java programs and applets and then run them using the same old DOS. Then I installed JBuilder. It took me a while to figure it out, but once I got it working, I thought quite surprised with it. It is absolutely brilliant. It takes away all the labourious task to compile each and every java files using javac command at a command prompt. Just click on the play button and it compiles all the modules in one go, it also starts ... Read the complete review

As with the delphi environment for Object Pascal, Inprise Corp ave made Java their own by using the amazing Delphi IDE to greate effect here with Jbuilder. They provide all the usualy swing controls as well as a raft of their own creations. Everything you need is in here and made easily accessible via the environment. Database connectivity is especially easy using this client-server version. If you're into Java and can afford the most expensive Jbuilder version you canI'd recommend it whole-heartedly. Once drawback is the speed of the interface which was built, apparetly, in Java itself. You can tell that Java has a long way to go when you see a fully-fledged ... Read the complete review

I have started using Borland JBuilder since last October. If comparing with Visual J++, I prefer Borland JBuilder. The main reason is there are not too many buttons in JBuilder if comparing to Visual J++. I have once used Visual J++. I feel annoyed because there are too many buttons. JBuilder is really a complexity made simple. Just like the other opinion said. I like it really because of this reason. However there is one drawback of this suite. It is very slow when doing compilation and running of programs or codes. It consumed a huge portions of the CPU and RAM. I do hope that it can be modified and improved. ... Read the complete review

I downloaded JBuilder, which was quite an annoying process, because it was so big. However, once it was downloaded, I installed it. The installer took forever, and I kept getting really annoyed. I became even more so when I tried to run it! It was so slow! I tried to actually use it though, and I was delgihted to find it worked really well. Borland need to sort out the speed problem, but apart from that, Well Done! I've not programmed in Java before, but JBuilder realler got me going. ... Read the complete review
