Borland Delphi v4 ... Delphi have the potential of looking just like any other MS Windows program. On the other hand, I personally have seen many program written using Delphi that look like nothing you have ever seen before. I do not lay claim to knowing everything there is to know about this development package. Indeed, I do not believe that I have used one quarter of the facilities that Delphi provides. Of course, you have access to all the usual features that you would expect to find on a GUI (Graphical User Interface) application, such as radio buttons, progress bars, timers, menu systems, status bars, etc.... Borland JBuilder 3.5 ... downloaded JBuilder, which was quite an annoying process, because it was so big. However, once it was downloaded, I installed it. The installer took forever, and I kept getting really annoyed. I became even more so when I tried to run it! It was so slow! I tried to actually use it though, and I was delgihted to find it worked really well. Borland need to sort out the speed problem, but apart from that, Well Done! Borland JBuilder 3.5 ... JBuilder. It took me a while to figure it out, but once I got it working, I thought quite surprised with it. It is absolutely brilliant. It takes away all the labourious task to compile each and every java files using javac command at a command prompt. Just click on the play button and it compiles all the modules in one go, it also starts working instantly. One amazing thing about Java is that no matter what program it is created in, it still works with anything. I created the whole thing in Notepad and another program called BlueJ (extremely slow), when I opened it up with JBuilder, I had no problems at all. It all worked fine, first time.
