Advantages: Auto resume function, its free, queing system, easy to use

Disadvantages: Not as good as they say it is.

Download accelerator (DA) is a very handy download manager. It is a freeware program avaiable to download from most freeware sites or from www.downloadaccelerator.com.

It has many useful features, here are some of them:

Always-resume - this will allow you to pause a download at any time and reumse downloading it at a later date.

400% faster download - I don't think it is quite that good, we all know the time is linked with are bandwidth. It splits a file into 4 and downloads from 4 different servers (or something) and seems to make downloading a bit faster.

Auto Mirroring - Mirroring is when a program can search for other sites that have the same file available to download. DA will automatically choose the fastest server (the server with the lowest PING). You can decided to choose your own if you wish.

Software Search - A useful extra that allows you too search for different files including MP3.

Queing - This program allows you to que up various downloads so that you can leave your computer to download all the files you want, without having to be there to start each one off.

Summary:

Download Accelerator is very useful, it allows me to line up all the downloads I want and download them at a time good for me. If you download lots of MP3, this software is very good to manage all your downloads especially.
