First Page is by far the best free program to make websites on the internet. It can be downloaded from www.evrsoft.com, and is 5.2MB in size. The first edition is available now, (1st Page 2000) and the next version should be out in a couple of months. I've absolutely no doubt about this! EvrSoft Firstpage 2000 is THE BEST HTML Design/Editor available nowdays. Surely Dreamweaver is a full-featured program, Home Site is full-doc, FrontPage is full-bug (eheheh ^_^), but only FP2000 offers all that you need for FREE! It presents with three different layout (according to your specfications): Easy, Normal, and HardCore. Combining those ones you can easily reach everything you need to build your site (from common tag to more, complex, unusual html constructs). As quite an experienced Web-designer, having designed many websites for various people, I have tried various HTML programs, both free and very costly. Everyone knows the saying "You get what you pay for" but in the case of Evrsoft 1st page 2000 that isn't true. This complete, unrestrictedproduct is free for download from the company's website. you get a lot more. This is a solid HTML editor which is packed with features, it has number of 'interfaces' aimed at users from the complete beginer to the hardcore coder. Drop down menus allow you to build tables, frames, edit fonts and style sheets all in environment which is very similar to Homesties' - which costs a fair bit more. I found this while in work, but downloaded it at home, this taking a little more than 25 mins on 56k connection, so in reality it cost me about 25p for the download, but you really can't argue, if you want a good editor and you don't want to spen get it. EVRsoft have created the complete, customisable html, no, everything web including pearl, java not everything! the interface is very intuitive and customisable and helps you to learn HTML unlike the WYSIWYG editors (eg MS frontpage) which just do all the work for you; attractive you might think until you see the difference in results.
