Advantages: auto logins
Disadvantages: only works well with .com sites
I downloaded Gator about 2 months ago, It works fairly well with most sites, and is a handy tool for filling in forms, however it is designed for the american ".com" market, and falls flat on its face when confronted with a .co.uk site. It can't differentiate between them, and you end up still having to remember your logins and passwords. Another downside is the delay it sometimes causes in page loading times, and its habit of waitng thirty seconds after you have entered a login, to ask if you want to save it! Which is bloody frustrating, especialy if you live out in the sticks like me, and your connection is about the speed of an asthmatic carrier pidgeon! The drag and drop form filling, and uto form filling is very useful, but i'd say the slow reactions, and the problems with sites other than .com's outway the benefits.

- 09/05/01 I downloaded it once, deleted it the week after. I have the ability to remember all of my passwords - mainly because I use the same one for everything!!! |
