Well, it's an emulator. It is a small program which plays ROMs on your PC. In this case, the emulator is a Mega Drive/Genesis emulator. The ROMs (games) are about 1MB and the emulator is about 500k. Very small. Now you can get Sonic 3 + Knuckles, SOR, Ecco for nothing with this baby. It runs very well even if you have a low version of Direct X ...

If you like the Mega Drive, and want to play its games on your PC, the Genecyst is the answer. You must own a Mega-Drive and the games to play legally on your computer. The Genecyst is the best emulator I have come across because it has a full screen, great sound and image quality, and if you press space you get a menu with everything you ...

I have recently discovered that the games I used to play as a kid are still a lot more fun than any of the new games I have paid a fortune for recently. Mega Drive emulation is a brilliant way to play old classic games like Sonic The Hedgehog without using your Mega Drive. Emulators such as Genecyst work really well with near perfect graphics and sound due to the fact that the hardware initially used on the Mega Drive was quite simple compared to todays standards. You can get just about every game ...

I saw a Sega Mega Drive emulator CD-ROM at a open market, I was a bit dubious about buying it, as it looked a bit knock off, but I decided to take a chance because it was only £3. I ran the CD as soon as I got home, and I was extremely impressed, it has two emulators the genecyst and the Kgen. The CD features over 150 classic Sega ...

Since the Mega Drive in the early 90's Sega has been going downhill. This product is Sega's last true success. Although not doing well in Japan or Asia, when it was released in Europe and America it was a huge success! Everybody loved it and with good reason. Those superb 2D platforms revolutionised the games industry. Although Sega ...
