I wouldn't be without Getright.
I use none of its bells and whistles, I purely use it as a download manager to safeguard against losing an internet connection part-way through a download. And its saved my life several times.
I don't know about your computer but mine crashes quite frequently (usually when I'm just about to complete a Dooyoo opinion!) and if you are 5 megs into a 10 meg download (or something similar) then its REALLY frustrating to have to start all over again.
Getright let you take over from where you left off, and it also means that you can separate biggish downloads into byte-sized chunks(geddit?)
