One of the first graphical tools for FTP I ever came across was an early version of CuteFTP. I abandoned all other graphical tools very quickly indeed. I've only just recently started looking elseware for a more skinnable tool such as 3D-FTP. The features which have been added version after version to CuteFTP have been clearly geared at 2 main markets. 1: Web developers 2: Illegal File distribution. CuteMX being the new tool for the latter, I'll not go into it much here but the people I know in the 'scene' would certainly agree that the features of MX are more than usefull for scheduled transfers while doing other things. As for web dev it's a God-send as I can now with zero effort manage my site and modify perms, etc on files/dirs/whatever. Easy, just a couple of clicks of the mouse and every is done, nice and intuitive. Just what I like. The only thing I can do is suggest you go to their website and get the demo, you'll never look back.
