Advantages: Possibly the best program (and free) of it's class, well designed, easy to use, does it's job well

Disadvantages: Ad-sponsored, pointlessly annoying (and frightening) sounds, doesn't always capture downloads from the browser (and sometimes intercepts confusingly when unneeded)

Aureate's Go!Zilla is one of a rare breed of programs that falls into the download manager categories. What's a download manager? Well, it simply intercepts and takes control of anything that you download via your web browser.
The program is well designed; colourfully cute, easy to use, and even intercepts into any FTP server requests you make on your browser. The only niggle is the ad-sponsor box, but seeing that you'll have the actual manager screen minimised during downloads, this is easy to ignore. I also hate the Godzilla movie sounds in the program which can be frightening. I.e. when a download's about to sucked into Go!Zilla, or finished, your computer will roar loudly! Not good for sensitive people, but this can be turned off.
Go!Zilla's best feature is it's relentlessness in downloading files. Any file that it downloads from it will not be given a chance to break. If it does, Go!Zilla will reconnect and resume it. Providing that the server will let it (most do), and that the link really is valid. You can also save links to downloads that you can 'schedule' for download later! Great if you're a heavy downloader, and want to put some organisation to when and how you download, and with Go!Zilla's added relentless downloading attempts. The program also has a few other little tricks up its belt, and can be modestly customised to meet your requirements a bit more.
The only other bad thing is that Go!Zilla doesn't intercept all downloadable items. Obviously it's smart enough to not download streaming media, but there are times when it won't intercept when it should do, maybe it's because it can't work around certain server settings. Hopefully this will be recitified in future releases. Even if not, this free program is still worth having, if you can put up with silent banner ads and some terrifying sounds. A must for people who run into a number of download problems, and/or for people who want
to organise their multiple dowloads.
