There are many ways to stay in touch nowadays with the ever shrinking world supported with all kinds of technology. Email, webcam, video-capture, telephone, mobile internet..... It seems these days your ability to communicate with people is limited only by your imagination. Instant messaging is one of the most frequently used methods of communication via the internet. The ability to maintain a text-based conversation with friends whilst browsing the internet, watching films and so on, has become standard fare in our multitasking technology use. There are many programs to choose from when considering using an instant messaging program, or 'IM' for ... Read the complete review

Google is the most popular these days. Not due to publicity or advertisement but, it's simplified technology. It's very easy to use google rather any other. Google talk is also same like google. It's very simple but sofisticated software to connect people over internet. I am using google talk, Skype, Hotmail, MI and Yahoo messanger. But out of all I found google very easy, good sound quality (Yes Skype have Excellent sound quality, much better than Google talk) superb features & easy to use. Now a days more people inclined towards google than yahoo. Yahoo is looking like a out dated. I prefer google over yahoo & most of the people doing same, because of it's user ... Google Talk (GTalk) is a Windows and web-based application for voice over internet protocol (VOIP) in which one can voice chat sitting anywhere in the world to person sitting in any other part of the world for no charges other then the normal internet charges. The first beta version (the testing version) of the program was released on August 24, 2005. VoIP in Google Talk is based around the Jingle ( sound of coins)protocol. Th main thing about Gtalk is it is very easy to ... Read the complete review

It had to happen. One day someone at Google was going to go: " Hey, guys, we need a chat program." And I'm glad that that they did, Gtalk is one of the best IM clients out there, and is widely used across the internet, and although it doesn't have the same features as MSN, such as video chat, or games, It makes up for this by being smaller, using smaller chat windows, having a more modern, and a cleaner interface. Unlike MSN, which has ads splattered just about everywhere. It seems minimalist, and actually, it is, but that's good because it doesn't take up as much system resources. Google really managed to get it right this time, delivering a ... Read the complete review

Googletalk is in the beta testing at the moment and from what ive used of it, its been highly succesfull. It has all the charm of other IM's but with an easier system and google is just super fantastic much better than micro$oft. The main part of the IM system i liked was the simple menu's and i found it asthetically pleasing. The main problem i had with this was the Lack of Webcam support, and not as many features as some other IM's. The download time is decent about 3 mins on a 512 modem. i would suggest everyone downloading it so it will replace the mediocore IM clients we have at the ... Read the complete review
