Google Talk (GTalk) is a Windows and web-based application for voice over internet protocol (VOIP) in which one can voice chat sitting anywhere in the world to person sitting in any other part of the world for no charges other then the normal internet charges. As VOIP facility for dialing on phones is not free in all countries, Gtalk is very good option.It also offers instant messaging, offered by Google which is its parent Company. The first beta version (the testing version) of the program was released on August 24, 2005.

VoIP in Google Talk is based around the Jingle ( sound of coins)protocol.

Th main thing about Gtalk is it is very easy to use by any person who newly registers in it. If somebody wants another person to join the gtalk, he or she can just invite that person by just entering his or her gmail id in self mail box. For invititation, a seperate block is given in the mail box.

The quality of sound that gtalk offers is really greta and also there are no regular disturbances in between like disconnections etc..

The Google Talk client is currently only available for Windows (2000, XP, Server 2003, and Vista). Mobile clients are also available for the Blackberry, iPhone and T-Mobile G1. With the release of the Google Talk gadget, users of all platforms supported by Adobe Flash Player can also use Google Talk.[1]

The speed by which the Gtalk works is also ver good means as soon as you call somebody over the voice chat, it gets connected.

Overall, it is very good to talk with gtalk......
