Advantages: excellen layout, user - friendly, secure, faster and many more

Disadvantages: no page - zooming, supports only windows, etc

Google is one of the most powerful brands in the world! It has already helped the millions web user out there by its various application.
Another and the recent one of its launch in the market is Google Chrome: the free web browser by Google. The product was launched on September 2 , 2008 and is free available to be downloaded.
I have been using Google Chrome from past 3 moths now and I feel it is an excellent web browser. Being an avid Internet user I wanted a browser that will ease my work of surfing the net and Chrome not only helped me with that but in a number of other ways! Apart from the alluring layout which offers no complexity in use it has great features like:-
* You can open multiple web pages in a single web browser window. Use control button while clicking any hyperlink and it'll open in the same window in a different tab. Also if you feel that you have opened too many tabs and would like to have a new page open up then just drag the tab out of the window in which it currently is located and you'll have it in a new window!

* You can see the source code of any element. Right click the element you'll see the option inspect element. After you click on it a window pops up which shows the code for the element.
* It shows the most visited pages as thumbnails in the window so you don't have to type in the whole path to visit them. Just click them and they will open in the browser.

* To bookmark a page all you have to do is click on a star shown beside the title bar when it is open and it'll be tagged as a bookmark!
* It has a user friendly appearance and which is very easy to use and anyone can get familiar with it in just a matter of around 10 minutes.

* It manages your download and shows its progress in the status bar itself so you don't have to manage a separate dialogue box for that.
* It offers to save your passwords. If you have a private computer than you can manage the numerous web site accounts through this feature.
* It supports incremental finding -It's a feature wherein a user types certain text and immediately the match is presented to the user. This gives an immediate feedback to the user and he can filter his search to a few words instead of typing in the whole word. Just press the conventional Ctrl+F to find an item on the page.

* It is very secure as well, it blocks the pop ups and also restricted sites. To apply security and prevent malwares from accessing data from the sensitive parts of the computer (such as any document etc) Chrome has a simple security scheme. The working of the site is restricted to its own tab and as soon as the software will be terminated when the tab is closed!
* It includes a search button that lets you search in your history! Also beneath that it manages your recent bookmarks and recently closed tabs for easy and quick access.
* Also I found it faster than the other browsers that I have worked on. This provides faster access to the websites and webpages.

Apart the above mentioned pros it has its down sides too.
* It does not support Active X control so you won't be able to play some of your favorite games.

* It is not supported by any other OS than Windows viz Mac etc.
* It doesn't support page zooming.

Well I find Google Chrome a very efficient web browser. Looking at all the advantages it offers I think the meager cons can be overlooked! I would suggest to go for this one.
