Advantages: Very quick to load
Disadvantages: Not as customisable as Firefox
Google Chrome is an excellent web browser that's quick, easy to use and of course, free.
Google's first foray into the world of web browsers has been a successful one. The browser is very quick to load (it starts up quicker than Firefox does) and seem to be pretty quick at loading websites too.
When you first load the browser (and when you load a new tab) you'll be shown thumbnails of your nine most-visited websites. This makes it very easy to get to your favourite sites as it only requires one mouse click. However, this feature was first developed by Opera, so I'm not quite sure how much credit we can give to Google!
When typing in the address of a new site, Google almost always knows where you want to go - type the first few letters and Google will suggest sites that you might be looking for. If your suggesting doesn't come up, you can just type your keywords into the address bar and Google will search its own index for your chosen term.
I like Google Chrome - it's a great browser to surf the net with, but it's not the browser I use most. Why? It's not as customisable as Firefox, and for me this is a major advantage that Firefox has over Google Chrome.
Summary: A very good web browser, it just lacks some of Firefox's features
