Advantages: Can be very fast

Firstly let me start off by saying something that may sound unhelpful. To decide on how good Chrome is you really have to try it yourself. There is one very good reason for this which is that its performance seems to vary massively on different computers. I found it to work very slowly (noticeably slower than firefox) on my windows XP laptop. Reading around about it I found that others had this problem whilst some just could not understand the complaints since it was running very fast for them. To conclude this part, you simply have to try it and see if it likes your system and will run fast.

Assuming that you can get it to run fast then it runs very fast and this is a good feature. I also found it to hog less CPU than other internet providers meaning that the computer as a whole worked better.

Personally I didn't like chrome since it did not have the customisation available in the way that Firefox and the minimalist design just wasn't for me. As I said though give this a try, and if you like it then I imagine you will be converted.
