Google Chrome is the latest internet browser to be released. It has many new features backed up by extra fast browsing speed. For starters, whats inside the Google Chrome is a lot simpler than any other browser, yet it does what the others do with ease. For example, the URL bar is combined with typing in URLs and also for searching google. So is the new Google Chrome as shiny as it sounds...

Lets start on desgin and layout. I honestly can'r find much to fault the browser for. The layout is very simple, there are ony 7 clickable buttons on the whole browser, 2 of which open a drop down bar. But thats the same as any browser. Google have obviously spent time thinking about new ideas to include in the browser that nobody else has had before. One of the most useful features in Google Chrome is that when you start it up. Instead of directing you to your homepage, Chrome shows you your top 9/10 websites (in order of visits). So thats around 10 homepages on the one screen. Theres more too, in the search bar. Instead of having to go to google every time you want to search something. Just type it in to the URL bar and there you have a google search. There are more features as well such as searching your history, reporting fraud etc. websites and more. These features aren't worth going into detail as you can imagine what they do.

Underneath the flashy layout comes an even flashier browser. The thing that Google Chrome excells on is that searching speed is very quick. This is partly due to the way it is programmed and also due to there being no toolbars. Now that you can search with the URL bar, toolbars are useless. The thing that I like most about Google Chrome is that it offers to save passwords for EVERY website. Other browsers only do it with some. Furthermore, before anything is downloaded to your computer off of the net, Chrome comes up with a notice at the bottom of your screen. For the download to commence then you must allow it to download. This feature is very effective in stopping viruses being dwonloaded as Chrome also does a quick scan of the file being downloaded. Everything else is much the same as any other browser, favourites, tabbed browsing, drop down options when you start typing in URLs.

So overall, a very good browser which is free too, layout = 5/5 design = 5/5 features = 5/5 speed = 5/5... what more can you want???
