Advantages: You don't have to have them all, just the ones you want.

Disadvantages: Slow to download and install.

The Google Pack is a bunch of different software from anti virus programs to photo editors. You can download it from:

pack.google.com

Here you will find a check list of the programs available to download with the pack and I will just write about a few briefly so you know what they are:

*Google Chrome - web browser (I have reviewed this on another review)

*Google Apps - these include Google Mail, Google Docs and Calendar which require you to create a Google account in order to use them. Google mail is a great email site which is sleek and very easy to use. Google Documents is an online based place to keep your Word, PowerPoint, Excel etc files so they can be shared with the people you choose over the net.

*Spyware Doctor - this is not the full version and neither is it the trial, this is an in between fully working program from Google which scans and cleans your PC from Spyware.

*Picasa is a photo editing, managing and sharing program from Google.

*Google Earth - this puts the whole world at your fingertips.

*Google Desktop - this is the same as the sidebar in Vista which includes a clock, your email, RSS links and there are many more add on's to choose from.

There are many more apps to choose from and I recommend checking it out if you need an easy way to install simple started programs for your PC or just want something new. The installation is a rather slow process as you have to download the Google download manager which firstly downloads the software then slowly installs them.

If you fancy a Spyware removal tool then Spyware Doctor is not only a good one to choose but you get the special one from Google with little limitations and updates.
