Grokster is a file-sharing program that uses the Fast-track peer to peer network to share files between the users, the fast-track network is famous for another program, Kazaa, Grokster is using this network like the other program, and you can download from Grokster users as well as Kazaa users.

The Menu of the program is very easy to learn, and the search engine is very easy too, the program work like kazaa, it has the same function, the same benefit and the same advantage and the same problems, if in kazaa network is very easy to spread a new virus, in this will be the same,if you download mp3 or video this program will work great, If you download programs you should switch to other peer to peer programs like Edonkey.

The program work in the following way:
1) You connect automatically on the network.
2) You use the search engine for find the file you like
3) After you find the file you can download it, if the file is shared by more than one user, it will have a + and clicking on it will display the list of users who share the file.
4) You start downloading the file from one users, then you can with the right button of the mouse select the option "find more sources for download", if the programs find them it will be easier to obtain faster download speed.


If you download Grokster keep in mind that this program is spyware, and if you use ad-aware maybe it will not work, I have downloaded the Clean version from another peer to peer network (edonkey) and tried it, like Kazaa even for this program there is a Spyware free version named Grokster Lite, but you won't find it on internet at the moment because the author has asked the removal of the Lite version.
