Are you a music lover, have you heard of MP3, if the answer to the second question is NO then I'd say "Welcome to Planet Earth". MP3 is the commonest format of a music file on the Internet, there must be billions of MP3 files on the Internet. Most computer users have a few MP3 music files, its so much simpler to put your favourite music onto your computer and play it from there, but what about some method of catalogging it ??.

There are lots of programs on the Internet which will catalog your music collection, some are free and others are "shareware" which means that you can try them out before you pay any money, this is done on trust, but the bottom line is.....they all do pretty much the same thing......or do they ?.

A few years ago I was bitten but the MP3 bug, I bought a number of MP3 players, databases, cataloggers, you name it.....then one day I chanced upon a program called Helium which purported to be the best one....I thought "Yeah...right" so I downloaded the trial version and I though "Yep.....pretty good" but I didn't buy it, I'd got several and didn't want to just buy another for the sake of it.

Anyway.....Helium.....huh...never heard of it!.

Then the author announced the advent of "Helium2" and released a few screenshots of what it was going to look like, I was hooked.....!!

Helium2 was released officially last year and is still being enhanced, it will catalogue and tag your MP3 music, search the Internet for album information, lyrics, artist information, analyse your MP3 files to see if they have errors in them, play them (with its own internal player or an external player) and it will allow you to export your database contents in a number of beautiful lists formats, in fact I can safely say it does more than everything you will ever want, every time I fire it up I see something else it does that I didn't see before!! but it's impossi
ble to do this piece of wizardry justice in a few lines here, you really should look at this if you love your music, treat yourself to the best Professional Audio Management system in the world....ever!
