First of all, I need to say that I am very sorry for submitting this opinion at this catagory - IOLO SYSTEM MECHANIC 3.5 while I am writing my opinion on IOLO SYSTEM MECHANIC v3.6f. They are still brothers! As they are brothers, I would suggest DOOYOO to build a general house for them, just say: IOLO SYSTEM MECHANIC (without the version numbers). Okay, let's go to see the SYSTEM MECHANIC v3.6f Blue screens appearing unexpectedly and telling its users about ?something wrong? with the windows (mostly Windows 9x and ME) are very annoying as it happens for times and times. The ?something wrong? in this case is hard to be identified by most ordinary users. There are many aspects causing the operating system runs unstably as both software and hardware may cause it. Or you may feel that day by day your windows runs slowlier and slowlier. Who knows what are happening behind the operating system ? Hence, there is a simple way to ?prevent? it happens. Nowadays there are various personal computer (PC) tuning utilities sold. One of them that I am using now is SYSTEM MECHANIC v3.6f. Where can I buy it? Just visit www.iolo.com. By the time I am writing this opinion, System Mechanic 3.6f is available. Everyone can download it freely for the trial edition (just for 30 days), or buy it directly online. The registered version costs US$ 59.95 (Industrial Edition). The file is not very big, just about 1470K (1.5 mb). I am sure it does not take a long time to download the file. System requirement It runs under Windows 95/98/Me/NT4/2000/XP and requires 3 Mb free hard disk space for installation. The installation process is very simple and supported by some friendly wizards. By seeing the system requirement, it means it supports maintaining some mentioned windows operating systems. What can System Mechanic do for me? Generally this utility helps us to mainta
in our running operating systems. It consists of 15 tools ? as follows. 1. Clean System Registry 2. Optimize Internet and Network Speed 3. Find and Remove Junk and Obselete Files 4. Windows Startup Manager 5. Find and Remove Duplicate Files 6. Ensure Your Privacy 7. Customize Windows Settings 8. Securely Delete Files and Folders 9. Find and Fix Broken Shortcuts 10. Remove invalid Uninstaller Information 11. Safe Installer 12. Scheduled Maintenance 13. Tool Action Logs and System Statistics 14. Maintenance Wizard 15. Iolo WebUpdate If you are interested in knowing more about each tool, feel free to visit its official site, www.iolo.com. Here you can see more detailed information on each tool. Hence I can say the customer service / support is very good. My experience I love trying a lot of software. I install them into my PC. When I dislike it, I can run the uninstaller or uninstall it from Add / Remove Software from Windows itself. By using these methods to remove the unwanted software, actually is not really effective as it does not clear the unistalled software completely. It may left some registry-keys uncleared in the system database; hence day by day the database is increasing and increasing while windows works with the reference to the database. I am not good at editing registry-keys (using regedit.exe from command prompt) to maintain the operating system. Knowing a very little of this working system, I need a very powerful tool to do it for me as I am sure that maintaining the registry-database manually wastes a lot of my time and I am going to face a big risk. Having discussed this problem with a friend of mine, he suggested me to try the SYSTEM MECHANIC. I am using it till know, and I am satisfied. I see you should try it if you want to keep your PC in a good health condition. Additionally, SYSTEM MECHANIC does not
stay resident in memory and for certain it does not waste the available memory. This feature should be considered as an additional value for this product. Being compared to other products, most of the utilities tend to stay resident in memory and waste some of the system resources. My last words, try to visit www.iolo.com to find more detailed information on this valuable system tuning utility. Cheers, -dj
