Irfanview is a very useful program when it comes to watch images on your pc, is freeware and this program really miss nothing a pay solution offer. As a image viewer irfanview can let you watch all the pictures you want, there is no extensions it will miss you can watch jpg, bmp, ani( animate mouse cursor icon) and the list include mane more, basically it will be difficult to find an image you are not able to see with this program. I agree with hazzeryoda's excellent review. I use this for a number of very simple processes - mainly "thumbing" through files of images and printing proofs. One thing I wish you could do, and maybe there is a plug-in, is put more than one image on a sheet. But what I like mainly is the speed with which it works, you can convert a .gif to a .jpg quicker than I can type this - and that includes launching the programme! Much better than ACDsee, in my opinion: Everyone can find a use for Irfanview. Irfanview is a small picture viewer capable of ahndling many kinds of file types. The big difference though, is the fact that Irfanview can do so much more! It has a nice, compact and simple layout, small menus hiding big features. There are so many effects and filters you can do to change and touch up the images, all are featured on bigger imaging software costing loads of money.
