Advantages: All the songs you could ever wish for.

Disadvantages: A let down on videos/clips. it does have some unsavoury users.

Limewire is fantastic.

I downloaded it last Christmas for my new MP3 player. It took around 1hour in total to download, but I suspect that it would be much quicker if you have a better PC than mine. It was a one off lifetime payment of £15.00 about 10 minutes to register my details and I was away.

The songs.
To download songs you can either search for your choices by Artist name, Song name, or album name. The songs can vary in time to download, it depends how many users have the song on there to share, which means if only 1 person has the particular song on then limewire has to take all of the information from them, so it'll probably take around 5-10 minutes to download, but if 100 people have it on for example then it'll only take around 30-60 seconds ( I hope this makes sense) The song choice on limewire is huge. It hasn't yet failed to find any song I've searched for, it has songs that my grandmother would remember, I guarantee it'll have 99% of songs searched for. When you've finished downloading your songs then you have to go into your Windows search option and search for your keywords in the 'songs only' bit, when found you simply click the song and choose the 'send to removable disk E' option and it's on your MP3.

If you want to become a member who shares there songs then simply leave your downloaded songs in limewire for others to download from, if not then just click delete.

It's not only songs on limewire, you can choose from music videos, or TV clips as well. This is were limewire fails. It hardly has any of the TV clips i've searched for, and the music videos don't seem to good at playing, so I'd stick to Youtube for those.

The other downside, which is a bad big downside is that some people do put porn clips/sounds on, so monitor kids on it. However if you do stumble across something you don't like then just simply click 'Block User' and that's that sorted.

So all in all if your looking for songs for your MP3 then Limewire is want you want.
