Limewire is a file sharing program where you can download music and videos. Limewire is not legal even if you sign up and pay a fee to use the program. Many people have used it at least once but it is terrible and dangerous and I wouldn't recommend it.

If you have a PC, using limewire could be the worst thing to do. People attach viruses, keyloggers and more nasty things to files that will infect your computer! You are sharing files with many other users so you can imagine how viruses can spread and how dangerous it is. Limewire caused my PC to get extremely slow (reeaaally sloooow) and it was never fixed to how it should of been. After purchasing a Mac again, I knew I would be safe from viruses as they are safer machines and hackers don't make viruses for them. You can get limewire for a Mac and it is safer but I still buy most my songs from iTunes.

If you do use limewire, you can search the names of songs and videos. Your search will find you many results and you can pick which one you wish to try downloading! The download speed for songs can be as little as one minute. I wouldn't recommend using limewire as it is illegal and full of viruses - dangerous in many ways.
