Macromedia Flash 5 ... opportunity to add layers into a drawing is the best thing for me, I can add a layer to an image and then I can trace the image beneath using the line tools. It is a great way of producing images for cartoon web sites. I can then fill these drawings and resize them. A animated menu is another great feature. I always visited web sites and saw Flash animation menus, and now I can create these professional features! The online resources are a great help, but a tutorial is included with the program to give a basic understanding of how to make an interactive animated menu, but you can go on from that to create things even better! Macromedia Dreamweaver 4 ... to different objects like form links and invisible tags. It's a great panel to use and will come in very useful. Another panel is that for the properties panel which is my favourite because in past programs it took a lot of time finding and clicking drop down menus, but this panel condenses all the properties of an item so that they can be altered and changed quickly and easily. The reference panel is very useful for finding examples and uses for html and JavaScript code. I?m not going to go into great detail about these filters as it will bore you and you may well have no idea what I?m talking about. ► Cost ---------------- Macromedia Fireworks 4 will cost you in and around the £150 - £200 mark. The MX version, which is newer comes in a collection with other Macromedia Products such as Flash, Flash Player Freehand and Dreamweaver, which will cost around £750 - £850, which is a great package but expensive.
