Hello I am from Holland and I use Mailwasher Pro (5.3) a couple of years now and am very satisfied with it.
The knowledge of investigating remaining e-mails with or without enclosure(s) gives me a feeling of control about what I allow to get to my pc (outlook express) or not. In the mean time the filters to block out and automatically delete all the rubbish do there work excellent. The problem is only that the word Viagra f.i. can be written down in such a way that it always will be a struggle against letters and words.
The only spam I have left is 1 or 2 a day caused by this inventive way of writing words down.
However the only utility in Mailwasher I never use is Bouncing. When you bounce you will give the sender a reply with or without all your PC-info like Ip-address or anything else and if the sender cant receive your bouncing e-mail it will cause pollution on the WWW. I never understood this function because the last thing you want to say is: Hey..I received your e-mail but I do not want it. Well maybe you want another e-mail from me instead then...and so on ... So do not use this function...even...when I did use it once my spam was increasing. For the rest: Easy to use - filter out what you do not want as spam and delete it straight away so you will not even know that you had a Viagra e-mail.
Another strong thing is the TOOLS -STATISTICS. In this message log you can restore your by accident deleted e-mails. Very handy! (And if you need an aliby this log will provide you 1 :-)) Also if you need to look up if some1 has given you an e-mail you can sort the log on date - name - subject etc.
Very usersfriendly e-mail tool and I will keep using it, forgetting I ever bought it...thats how things should work!
