Media Jukebox

By far the best tool for managing and playing your media collection - Advantages: Very suited to a home entertainment system, Easy and powerful organisation tools - Disadvantages: Doesn't play Quicktimes

Media Jukebox is free to download. It is a good player for MP3 and other sound file type, ie wav and midi. It also functions as a web radio. The radio is interesting in itself. There are over a hundred channels to listen too, ranging from the police in Las Vegas to a Canadian Adult Channel (This was not what it appears to be, there is nothing but breathing on the fifteen minute, pre-recorded programme. Certainly worth a listen just for a laugh!) The only real diificulty I had with Media Jukebox was that it tried to take over my sound files. Media Jukebox is a freeware music player available from musicex.com. Not only can it play the usual downloaded MP3 music files, Media Jukebox also allows you to record from your computer's CD (or from an external source such as a cassette player) directly to your hard disk.
