Advantages: Faster connection (sometimes), better security.

Disadvantages: Lengthy download time, not much difference to previous versions.

Okay, I downloaded Microsoft Internet Explorer version 5.5 a week ago, and I have not had any problems with it so far (touch wood), which is a good thing I suppose.

As other people have said, the features and properties are very similar to that of previous versions of IE, so you really ought to ask yourself 2 questions...

1) Is it worth me downloading something which has limited improvements, with only a couple of advantages connected with the product?

2) It might be slightly better, but is it worth a 1 hour download time just for a few extra features, which only really apply to larger companies, businesses etc.

The product's advantages are good, and really it is up to you, whether you want to go for it, just to keep up with technology, or whether to leave it, and perhaps download the next version? Up to you!
