In the browser wars these days, the gap between Microsoft's Internet Explorer and Netscape's Navigator is getting to become more of a canyon. With each release, Netscape takes longer to release their equivalent, and it always ends up with less features, playing an eternal game of catch-up with Microsoft's superior effort. So why is it so much better? Well, needless to say the performance has been proved superior to all other browsers a million times, but really in recent releases some of the features Microsoft has slapped in have been top quality, and not just stuff you will never use. The latest in-built search facility is rather good, the related links button finds pages for you similar in content to the one you are currently viewing, an in-built radio player to listen to stations broadcasting world-over, the offline browsing and page-saving options have been souped up a beauty, making it much easier to store your favourite sites on your hard drive and you can now officially change all the toolbar wallpapers. And of course, the technologies that IE is able to understand has been stepped up, beating Netscape further into the ground with it's better understanding of HTML tables, style sheets and Javascript code. Finally, you get the benefits of integration with all the other Microsoft products that inhabit your HDD. The best browser available.
