Advantages: audio cataloguing feature, visualisations

Made to be in direct competition with real player, this is a big improvement over its predecessor. One of the first mainstream applications to use visualisations to complement music playback, this certainly crams in a lot of intuitive features.

Copying winamp, this also has skinnable features although the ones that come with it are somewhat lacklustre.

The good thing about this software is its audio cataloguing ability and it can use information in the mp3 id3 tags to automatically sort your songs in to albums and artist sections.

It is a good idea to use the default skin for this application since many of the more useful features become disabled once you begin to use customised skins.
