MSN Messenger 6.2 is the latest and best MSN Messenger about. Microsoft have revamped the design of the standard MSN Messenger and added lots of extras.

The good thing about MSN Messenger 6.2 is that you are able to display a picture at the side of the text box which the person you are talking to can see. So if you have a pen pal or friend you have never seen each other before in person, you can both display your pictures and get a good idea of the person you are talking to! Whilst talking to someone you can also have a background picture or pattern so you don’t see the same old boring white all the time like in the predecessor!

Unlike the original MSN Messenger you can play games with your friends, these include checkers, solitaire showdown, Bejewelled and Minesweeper Flags. These are mostly great games, and the graphics are actually quite good! I would check out Checkers, its great to play and gives you endless fun. There are also Activities including Tic Tac Toe, File sharing, and decision wheel. I must admit, MSN games seem to come in handy if you and your friend are bored, it‘s great if you can‘t think of a conversation to start!
My favourite of all the programmes on MSN Messenger is Whiteboard. On Whiteboard you are able to use microsoft paint with your contact and mess around and draw things. It's great fun when you've run out of things to do!

Like on the standard MSN you can use the web cam to see the person you are talking to, which is very useful. At the same time you can use the microphone to talk with the person. So you have 3 options of using the keyboard, the web cam and the microphone all at once, what a great way to communicate with someone! The picture is a bit small to see but the quality is great . The sound quality is also excellent as long as you and your friend have a decent microphone!

It is really easy on MSN Messenger 6.2 to find the many different options, because everything is labelled so well. There are nicely designed tabs to guide yourself around the place. I could never go back to the Standard MSN Messenger, its just too.....lets put it this way... PLAIN. The design of programs like this just make that big difference when talking to someone, whether using the microphone or keyboard. I recommend use of Messenger 6.2, so much that I would give this 5 stars of approval.
