I signed up to MSN a couple of years ago when i was recommended to it by a friend. It seems to me like most people have signed up to it as it is very popular.

What is it?

MSN Messenger is an online service used to connect to people and chat instantly when there email address is entered onto your contacts.

Features

MSN obviously is a chat service. Its also very fast. Other features now include the option to go onto web cam to each other during your conversation, as long as you have a fitted web cam compatible with your computer.
Online games are also now available, so you can play multiplayer games online at the same time you speak.
You can have group conversations by inviting people into your current conversation.
Profile and space pages are available, so you can make your own page with your "about you" section and personal photos.
You can send emails to the contacts you have added to your list.

MSN can hold a large amount of contacts and storage. The only disadvantage is the installation time which does take a while, but its a free service and worth it so i would definately recommend people to sign up to MSN Messenger.
