Msn messenger, a sister site to the most popular emailling website, Hotmail. With this application you can have conversation with friends, send pictures and have video conversations using a webcam.

I have to agree, this is much easier than email as it is faster for a friend to respond.

My biggest problem with MSN messenger is that most of the time it doesn't work, sometimes it doesnt work for the most pointless reasons and the system crashes a lot, if this happens then just leave it off for a while.

However, it is good for playing games with friends and sharing pictures and having group conversations, a step up from email as you can plan group outings in just one conversation.

Another problem with this 'chat room' is that some teenagers get addicted and as many will know, a lot of people are constantly on it.

MSN messenger is free of charge and its easy installation is better for those who are not computer genius', like me who finds it very difficult sending an email due to typing so slow.

The children of today are using MSN as a popularity contest. They believe the more friends they have the cooler they are. This is how it can become unsafe, only accept friend requests or add people you know because no body else can see these conversations (unless your parents automatically save your conversations which I advise for you to do if you are a parent).

It is safe if used correctly though and can be a fast, great way to keep in touch. You can use Hotmail, Yahoo and other email accounts to access MSN not just Hotmail which is a bonus too.

Although it is not reliable, it has a great variety of features. You can change your fonts, your MSN name, you can play games, change your display picture, use a webcam, have a variety of people in one conversation and much much more.

All in all, I conclude that MSN messenger is a great application if used approprietly, if you are a parent, be wary of how your children are using it and watch them. As it is free, you can add your friends and family I highly recommend it, do not get addicted though.
