Intro
------
I have now had this program installed on my computer and have been using it for about 10 years. It has been a big part of my life and has really contributed to social aspects of it.

Basically it makes things very easy to organise and also makes the art of making and building friendships a lot easier.

Unfortunately, in the advent of facebook chat, and the constant deletion of the program from my mates computers, i no longer use the service, but it has served me well over the last few years.


The program

Basically msn messenger is a download that you find on microsofts website. It allows you to add friends e-mail addresses and then instant messenger them if they are online.

This basically means that you can have a more or less face to face conversation over the internet.

This is really handy if you want to chat to your mates, or if you want to build a friendship with someone you have only met once or twice.


Other features
------------------
However, do not be fooled that this is simply an instant messenger service, as over the last decade it has really improved in terms of what you can do and achieve.

You can now have video conversations using microphones and webcams, so you can actually speak to who you are talking too. There is also a host of other great features such as playing games, sending files and having group conversations.


Problems
-----------
Many people say that they do not want their children using this as, providing someone knows your e-mail, anyone can add you. However, this just requires a little bit of common sense, as it is very easy to just say no to someone, upon receiving their friend request.

A great program that, with regret, i no longer use. It is a perfect way of keeping in contact with your mates so download it now!!!
