Visio appears to be one of the most useful programs of its kind although with being quite specialised is not used from the wide public and hence it isn't as known as other Microsoft programs. Visio is an excellent package for drawing many different types of diagrams. I have used it at work for creating some simple flowcharts, complex flowcharts and designing the office layout. I have also used it at home for designing my garden layout! First of all Visio is a very easy program to use, you simply drag and drop one of the 100's of objects onto your drawing area, you can then easily resize, rotate and move the object. Secondly it is very quick to use, and flowcharts can be created very quickly. Thirdly the instructions are very clear and consise.
