... been using sound forge for a while now on a really really duff old PC. It works great though. Its great if you use a budget sampler such as the SU200, that is great, but does have the draw back of limited editing and effects. With Sound Forge you can trim the sample down to the right size, clean up the sound quality and then add appropriate effects. The loop function is superb, allowing extremely tight editing. The sound stretch and pitch shift are also fantastic for my needs. Finally, I would say its the first time i've used such a piece of software and its given me no problems. ... Foundry is simply put everything you could want in recording software . If you've recorded anything and ever wanted more functionality then microsoft sound recorder then you can find it here . Sound Forge allows you to do anything with stuff you've recorded . It's got so many features that you'll find them stuck away under menus hiding just to be found .
