Ever since I bought my first MP3 player I have been searching for a good all round piece of software that wasn't going to cost more that the MP3 player itself. After trying Sonique, WinAmp and numerous others I have finally hit the jackpot with MusicMatch Jukebox.
Currently on version 6 this software does everything you need, and does it well! it rips MP3's, Burns CD's, creates playlists and if you register it will do it faster but will also create covers for your CD and lots more.
You can also use MM JB to listen to net radio stations.
The best feature, as far as I am concerned, is the CDDB connectivity. When you place an audio CD in the drive it connects to the net (if you want it to) and accesses the CDDB (Compact Disc DataBase) and retrieves the album title, track titles, artist(s) and track lenghts. This saves a lot of time and if you do this and then use the Create CD Cover option it will list the artist(s) and track titles etc automatically for you.
The player looks great and has a excellent selection of skins available.
This is simply the best Player/Encoding software available and for free it is totally unmissable. If anything I would say the guys and girls and Musicmatch are being a little too generous by making so many features available to unregistered users, but if they want to do it who are we to argue?
