Gone are the days of illegal P2P mp3 swapper. Napster is now re-lanunched sometime back with legitimate music just like your high street music shop. The difference is, you can hear and download all the avilable music on this planet for just £9.99 a month, thats amazing. Initially I was a bit sceptic about the offer until I tried it last week. We all like stuff for free and some people like music for free so what do they do? They go to the P2P (peer to peer) websites and download free music of course as more and more people are doing this the music companies are going mental that they are not making enough money because people are getting it for free of the P2P websites. And so in 2005 they have decided to crack down on this and children have faced fines up to 4 thousand pounds and if they can’t cough up the dough then their parents face imprisonment……. Well guys what can i say....im very very disapointed with napster! Was orginaly with them around 4 months ago...everything was great until i ran into a few problems heared about credit card issues thus i canceled my subscription. So i was browsing the net the other day and up comes a little add saying napsters offering a 7 day trial...i hovered my mouse over it ...and thought about it a while and thought hell il give um another go. Well since Napster shut its doors a while ago I've converted to being a Kazaa lite user. I find Kazaa is Very good for downloads, whether it be Movies, games or music you are after many of the users offer a wide variety of different things. The best part about Kazaa is that it is free to download and use so all you pay is your phone bill (if you are not paying monthly ). Being a broadband user many users speeds depend on their connection even if you have a broadband landline they may be using a 56KB modem so it'll take the time of a 56KB modem to transfer onto your system so this can effect the rate of transfer from one machine to another. I was very annoyed when I heard that the goverment had stopped transfers from going ahead on Napster. Back in February 2001, every major artist's songs where blocked from being downloaded, leaving just unknown or bad quality tracks.
