Advantages: IT'S THE FUTURE

Disadvantages: nothing spectacular

YOU'LL NEVER LOOK BACK-The Future Is Here...Well, I've checked out a few of the opinions already posted here, but so far have heard NO MENTION of the AUDIOGNOME client....could it be that no one here has heard of it....This does suprise me....Oh well if indeed this is the case then please visit the AUDIOGNOME download page at www.napster.org.uk

This particular client uses the original Napster servers plus ALL the other available Open Nap servers. If your already familiar with the NAPIGATOR program, you'll be pleased to hear that GNOME has one built in. This sever list can be updated as often as you like and I've found that on average it'll find about 50/60 new servers each time. So "What's the point of having all these servers available when you can only one at a time"??? Well the answer is simple "With GNOME you can connect to as many servers at a time as you like (*Napster limits their servers to one at a time)Personally I only bother with the major Open Nap servers (Bitch-X or God Hates Mods)and one of the more reputable napster servers (BoootyBass or Freestyle). And quite often have in excess of 3 million tunes available at any given instance.
What else??? Well experience shows that the GNOME client is far more stable than the regular Napster program, and seems to offer faster download rates (which tend to remain constant). As I'm sure you know, there's nothing worse than downloading 75% of a tune and getting cut off either through unstable servers or nasty ISP's that kick thier users after 2 hours or so....Now this isn't such a big deal. With Gnome you get a fully working RESUME function (*You must find the EXACT same file name and bit rate)And as if all this wasn't enough to convert you to GNOME then perhaps the fact that you can list (and join) ALL the chat rooms of ALL the servers you are connected to (anything upto 200 rooms) might change your mind....

Convinced??????
r>Well you bloody well should be

Please rate my opinion ...in an attempt to "Spread the Word".....Thanks

Jamie
