Advantages: huge MP3 selection, hotlists, user friendly.
Disadvantages: downloads MAY be slow,
I was told by so many different people to download napster, so in the end i gave in and did. Well it has to be the best MP3 downloader around. i have yet to look for a song on there and not find it. The pros of it are: 1) you can download those songs you love but are far too embarrased to go and buy incase people laugh at you! 2) You can finally get the ongs you ahve wanted for ages, btu couldn't find 3) it 100% free sowho cares if you get bored of the song, you can just delete it 4) you are able to add other users, and browse theier files, which is handy if u ahve similat tastes in music. 5) you may place all you MP3s into a play list and make you own little compliation! wooohoo! these are just for starters and what i especially like, people use it for different reasons which is the best thing about napster! however there are a few downsides to it to. Although to download napster itself is relatively fast, songs can be slow to download, especially when someone else is downloading concurrently from the same person. Also if the other person goes offline, it can be really annoying!

- 17/01/01 I love Napster! As far as fear from the music industry that sales will go down, I disagree. For me Napster is a very good way of "Try before you buy" where if an artist seems really good then I will go out and buy the album since I'd prefer it on CD than MP3. I often download songs which I would never buy, just to listen to them eg Corrs, Offspring |
