Nesticle

This software is the best of the bunch and allows people to play all those old Nes games that were great then. But now time is really begining to show and that true classic that as donkey kong just looks dated and rubbish. If you really like the Nes this is the software to get. But if I were yuo I wouldn't as there isn't a great deal of point. If anything go and get a Snes one as that has all the good versions of the same game. Like just about any freeware games, playing around with Nesticle can be fun for a lonely few nights, but after a while you certainly won't miss it... Nesticle is a NES emulator; it pretty much converts your PC into an old Nintendo and allows you to play software files ("roms") that contain NES games. I'll spare you the legal ramblings, I know you wouldn't use this emulator illegally, I'll just tell you that Nesticle is probably the best (and certainly the best named!) NES Emulator around. It's is simplicity itself to use, and does the emulation job brilliantly, including sound in most cases. It also has some great features, like being able to view and record movies from your games, so you can send your friends a movie of you defeating Bowser in Super Mario Brothers for example.
