I have just installed this onto my computer as I am starting a new website. The browser if you are familiar with presents no problems it is more or less the same as the previous version apart from some tweaks. The webdesigning part of this package seems much better check out my site to see some of the results. You will find some of the feature of some other wed design software but you have to pay for it. Cut and paste is a bit of a problem if you want ot download the many free java scripts from the net therefore a second editor is needed. The usual multimeda addons are included in this package which an be selected/deselected from the ... Read the complete review

Feeling strangled by Internet Explorer? Is Microsoft taking over your PC? Then you need Netscape to solve all your web browsing needs! Netscape is the only main rival to Internet Explorer, there are other browsers such as Opera that have their loyal fans but realistically they can't compete. Netscape has the same functionality as Internet Explorer with a well organised Bookmark section (instead of favourites) and one or two extra features. One area where Netscape gets one over on Microsoft is stability. Internet Explorer is notorious at crashing systems the length and breadth of the country, and Netscape provides a welcome stable alternative. The ... Read the complete review

Yes once upon a time in the early infancy of the Internet browsing stakes, Netscape ruled supreme. It had the superior utilities like history and the ability to view sources of web pages. Sadly with the all empowering dominance of IE5 and some other pretenders such as the excellent Opera browser, Communicator 4.7 just does not cut the mustard. I dare you to run both IE5 and Communicator 4.7 together and access the homepage of www.dooyoo.co.uk. Look at the checkin and help links in IE5 (top right) against those displayed in 4.7!! Yep it is all bunched up. Again look at you members profile in IE5 and 4.7 and you will noticed that the IE5 displays the ... Read the complete review

Before IE4 was released there wasn't much to choose between the browser offerings of Microsoft and Netscape. Also at this ,around 4 years ago, computers were more expensive and the internet was nowhere as established as it is now. IE4 was a bit of a revolution in internet browsing as it included almost all of the plug-ins you need to view almost every web page while with Netscape Navigator you had to download them when they were required. Now IE5/5.5 is pre-installed on almost every PC you buy - due to Windows 98 - and there is no reason for home users to change the browser so the question for new computer users is "Whatscape?". ... Netscrape i believe is the common name for this "browser" in the web design community. Yes, so it conforms to the W3C standards better than IE, but the point is, and excus emy language, its CRAP! So you design your webpage - you get it working in IE - no problems - all you colored table cells are working - your fancy javascript that took you ages to write loads perfectly - all your Dreamweaver layers are holding your content in place, your little DHTML animation is whizzing away and all your frames are perfectly aligned. And then you open up Netscrape... Why oh why does Netscape not do the simplest of things? Like color a table cell even if there is ... Read the complete review
