April 4th, 2001 NOD32 is again #1 virus detector in the world, with 100% detection of all virus classes (types) in Virus Bulletin of April 2001. This makes THREE times consecutive of a clear 100% detection. It is very hard to make this TRUE 100% DETECTION achievement even one time, because is so many new virus in the wild at each day. Now I can be somewhat paranoid about the safety of my laptop and indeed I have had previous computers hit by pretty nast viruses, so having an anti-virus program that really works, that I trust can and will identify as many up and coming viruses as possible and that won't significantly slow down my computer is what matters to me. Nod 32 is probably, in my humble opinion, one of the best antivirus applications available. Believe me, over the years I have tried nearly all the others but found this one to be the most impressive by far. It has an extremely light footprint for starters, meaning that it is almost unnoticeable in your taskbar and does not hog your system memory like so many other antivirus applications out there. I have tried many a different antivirus and so far for me nod32 has come out tops.There smart security improved the speed of my windows almost like I was running Ubuntu linux again. It even did its job of actually removing viruses its a miracle. As far range of features goes there aren't many it just has antispam,firewall and antivirus. Where Avg has all that and a special plugin that scan pages before you go to them. This can be both a good and bad feature as it has accidentally blocked some pages before so I very quickly turned that off.
