Nod 32 is probably, in my humble opinion, one of the best antivirus applications available. Believe me, over the years I have tried nearly all the others but found this one to be the most impressive by far.

It has an extremely light footprint for starters, meaning that it is almost unnoticeable in your taskbar and does not hog your system memory like so many other antivirus applications out there.

It sits there quietly and unobtrusively, not giving those ridiculous "pop up" messages and "nagging screens" that other top brand scanners do.

Automatic updates are smooth and regular, and when they have finished downloading, a little box will appear informing you that the update is complete.

Like any of the other antivirus applications out there, it will not find and rid you of every nasty that is out there, but it will do a far better job than almost any other application available.

Reasonably easy to install, although the tweaking to your individual needs can be a bit overwhelming, especially for those who are new to the computer world.

Scanning times are reasonable, certainly not as fast as the Manufacturers state, but anyway, the scanning time will obviously depend on the number of files etc. that are on your PC!
