Musicians, whether novice or professional, will find this a useful music editing and composing tool. You can build complete multi-voiced, polyphonic compositions and save them for playback as midi files. Your work can also be printed out in a professionally designed layout using standard music notation and text. When composing you can enter notes in step time (note by note) using the mouse or keyboard, or in real time from an external midi (music) keyboard. The program is easy to use and you soon develop a feel for it which speeds up your efforts considerably. The company (noteworthysoftware.com), also offers a completely free and useful musicians' tool for ... Read the complete review

I got this on a shareware basis first but after having it for about 2 days I brought it. It is very simple to use, all you do is click on the length of note that you want, put it on the staff using the arrow keys and press enter. The playback is rubbish but good enough to hear what you have written. You can use a midi Keyboard but I haven’t got one and it works perfectly well for me. You can get this for a month on shareware from www.noteworthycomposer.com and then (or before) buy it or deleted it. ... Read the complete review

I first got this programme on a 30 day trial from shareware but when I realised how good and easy to use this programme really was I just had to buy it. Most other music composer programmes that I have used are either too slow or very awkward to copy out music on, but this programme is a very simple but cheap way of presenting and composing music. To compose straight on to a score by typing the notes onto the score you use the cursor and the enter key which is a very quick and neat way of copying it out. On the programme their is a play back function so you may hear what you have just written and then make the changes to the music where it does not ... Read the complete review

This is by no means a professional program in the sense of Sibelius or Finale. The results are nowhere near as good. The program is fairly unflexible, so if your music is a little more complex than usual, you won't be able to get what you want. It's nowhere near publishing standards... HOWEVER if you want to learn the basics of typesetting, or knock out a quick leadsheet to be more legible than most peoples handwriting, then it's OK. And it's free (shareware). Don't throw these parts the way of a pro session musician as they won't appreciate it, but just for sketches, home use, or practice with this kind of software, I can see how it ...
