Advantages: Ease of use, professional feel

Disadvantages: lack of LFO control, triplet import errors

Musicians, whether novice or professional, will find this a useful music editing and composing tool. You can build complete multi-voiced, polyphonic compositions and save them for playback as midi files. Your work can also be printed out in a professionally designed layout using standard music notation and text.
When composing you can enter notes in step time (note by note) using the mouse or keyboard, or in real time from an external midi (music) keyboard. The program is easy to use and you soon develop a feel for it which speeds up your efforts considerably.
The company (noteworthysoftware.com), also offers a completely free and useful musicians' tool for playing back midi files or song files and presenting them in standard music notation during playback. As the music progresses the display is updated with the current note highlighted.
The only problems encountered so far in using the composer program are:
No control of LFO (low frequency oscillator). This is what controls the rate and depth of vibrato of selected instruments.
Importing of midi files containing triplet groupings results in the program trying to calculate their value as standard note lengths. This often results in a timing error.
