I have been using Zipmagic for several years now and would not consider changing it for any other zip utility currently available.
The original attraction for me was the ease of use of this program because I found Winzip a little awkward to use and could not really be bothered trying to become familiar with it. It was not very long before I became impressed with the versatility of Zipmagic.
For simply zipping or unzipping files you do not need to open the program, simply right click on the file or folder and select the appropriate option from the menu provided. if you wish to add particular values to a file or folder that you are zipping, then open the program and you will have options for creating self executing files or spanning files across several floppy disks etcetera.
One of the more useful aspects of Zipmagic is that zipped folders are displayed as folders and can be opened by double clicking just like any other Windows folder. With this facility it is quite easy to extract individual files from a zipped folder, which does not even need to be unzipped in the first place.
If you are considering using a compression utility for either compressing or decompressing files, then I would certainly recommend Zipmagic.
