Outer Technologies Cacheman

I've tried a lot of programs that say they will speed up performance but most of them are just hopeless at freeing memory. Windows kept using up all my memory and I only had a few programs open. White boxes would come up and say you are running dangerously low on resources and it would give me a choice of programs to close. I would try to close one and windows would lock up. This also happened when I tried to close out some programs that weren't responding using control alt delete and windows would lock up again. Cacheman, if you've not heard of it before, is a programme that balances your memory, cache and virtual memory. You know - all the boring stuff that you don't really want to know about. Well, if you actually want the best performance from your Windows 95/98 system then it apparently pays dividends to know what's happening underneath that PC of yours. Cacheman replaces the traditional Windows system that manages memory and implements its own rules and regulations.
