AvantGo:
... Not me, I just AvantGo! I had always wondered if AvantGo was going to just be a passing fad, having originally signed up to the service in August 2000, when it was the closest you could get to 'net content on your Palm - and amazingly over two years a go it still has a stranglehold, and one that doesn't look like it will be surrendered in a hurry or without a struggle. AvantGo is a free mobile web c... Read the full review: Take five papers on the train? by Morgenhund |

AvantGo ... is a great service!! I've been using it for a few months now, and i don't even need to buy a newspaper anymore. All the major UK papers are available on avantgo, as well as more specialist information. It's free to join and easy to use. You pick the sites that you want on your palm from the avantgo website. Then you just connect to the internet on your PC and sync your palm. Thats it... a wealth of information in your palm as easy as that. Whats more it provides internet content without the need for a palm modem. It really is worth getting a palm just for this service alone, so if you have a palm, and don't have this service what are you wai... Read the full review: Worth buying a Palm for! by honestmarc |

BackupBuddy NG ... found backupbuddy through Dooyoo, but nobody had written an opinion on it. I decided to take the plunge and try it out. I found a trial version, it gives you 30 days to see what its like. It took a little getting used to, I'm usually not too bad with computer programs, I don't consider myself an expert but I don't have too many problems. But I did find this hard to understand. The language used in installation seems to be written with the assumption that you know exactly how the program works and exactly what all of its features are called and what they do. It was asking me if I wanted to back something or other up becuase something might be lost if I uni... Read the full review: Could be useful by smuj83 |

AvantGo ... Dad gave me his palm pilot after he got fed up with trying to install a piece of software that he needed on it. I have put it to good use since! Probably one of the best software that I have got the it is Avantgo. Basically it is a system whereby you can read websites on the move. They update everytime you sync your palm pilot with your computer. (This involves connecting to the internet, putting the palm in its charger and pressing the sync button....clever stuff!). There are a range of channels that you can get for it. The ones I currently have are: My BBC: This is from the BBC (surprise surprise). You can personalise the pages, its almost like a mini BBC a...
