Advantages: user-friendly, strong new features
Disadvantages: the support not very broad
Panda Software is barely a household name between anti-virus solution providers, but its Titanium Edition anti-virus utility has enhanced in terms of usability and presentation. I was surprised how fast and easy it was to load this application.
The program that keeps its head down, updates automatically and is no bother. Updating the software is that very easy. As long as you are online, the software updates itself without user interference.
Installation with other programs running in the background can be difficult, but once installed and activated it just works quietly giving you what you need therefore the computer not slowing down!!!
Though, a fair bit of user intervention is needed to determine whether compressed files and files with precise extensions need to be scanned.
The software's recently upgraded anti-virus engine controls malicious ActiveX code, Java applets, and the latest trojan horses.
More fascinatingly, using the SmartClean function technology, Panda Anti-Virus restores the properties of files that have been changed by viruses and worms.
The Panda Antivirus Titanium Edition is fast, taking only 3 minutes to finish scanning more than 13,000 files in a 1.28 GB hard drive.
