pcAnywhere 9.2

PC Anywhere is a must for any support department. I have used various remote access software packages and would recommend this as the best. I worked for a large organisation with 8 offices throughout the UK and was able to successfully troubleshoot software problems throughout these offices using PC Anywhere. It is easy to set up and easy to use as the desktop of the remote PC is shown on the screen performing the support action. Almost everything that pcAnywhere does can also be done with freeware utilities. The remote control, it's main selling point, can be done with VNC. http://www.uk.research.att.com/vnc/ pcAnywhere, though, does it more efficiently. The speed gain is worth a lot if you need remote control frequently - how much is your sanity worth? The extra options given by pcAnywhere also help to boost it's added value. File transfer. I've been using PC anywhere for 3 years now on and off and for the past year it's been my primary remote support tool. It's implemenation of TCP/IP control is absolutely superb without doubt. Where it excells though is its modem support. With modem support you'll find the following features a boon :- . Colour Scaling . Screen Scaling . Data Stream Compression .
